Southwest Airlines partnered with Keep Dallas Beautiful on September 15th to clean-up the Trinity River. 50 Employees laced up their boots, pulled on their waders, and sported their blue Share the Spirit shirts!

Southwest Airlines donated roundtrip airline tickets to the annual Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) Maryland/Southern Delaware Chapter Guts and Glory Walk. The CCFA organizes Walks and Runs each year to raise funds to research Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Make Lemonade! The young son of Southwest Airlines Phoenix-based First Officer Casey Murray’s had a lemonade stand to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. The event raised his awareness of the Ronald McDonald House’s vision and purposes—and we’re sure we’ll see this young man doing other great things for his community in the future! The RMH brought out their van as he presented his earnings.

The Sacramento Provisioning and Ground Operation Departments cooked up a summer barbecue for the families staying at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House on August 27th. Southwest Airlines peanuts and pretzels found their way into kid’s hands this Halloween. Sharon Rankin’s (Corporate Communications) church organizes “Trunk or Treat” each year in the parking lot. This event offers a safe trick or treat experience for nearly 600 neighborhood kids. One trunk had a Southwest Airlines theme – it was overflowing with pretzels and peanuts for the kids to enjoy!
