    How can I purchase a southwestgiftcard?

    A southwestgiftcard can be purchased at southwest.com with a credit card, by completing the online order form and following the directions provided, or by calling Southwest Airlines at 1-800 I FLY SWA or 1-800-435-9792. A southwestgiftcard can also be purchased at approved retail locations.

    What denominations are available?

    When purchasing directly from Southwest Airlines, we offer any denomination of your choice between $10 and $1,000. Orders exceeding $1,000 can be made by printing the southwestgiftcard order form and following the directions provided. For gift cards sold at approved retailers, the southwestgiftcard can only be purchased in pre-specified amounts ($50, $100, or in certain locations, $200).


    Can I buy a southwestgiftcard online and send it to someone else?

    Yes. A southwestgiftcard can be mailed/e-mailed to you or directly to the recipient of your choice. However, a southwestgiftcard cannot be shipped internationally and Federal Express will not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.


    If I order multiple southwestgiftcards, can I personalize each separately?

    No. When ordering multiple southwestgiftcards in a single order, each card will have the same personalization.


    Security Information: Are southwestgiftcards valid if purchased anywhere online other than southwest.com, such as a third party auction website?

    The only online distribution source for southwestgiftcards is southwest.com. If you purchase a southwestgiftcard online anywhere other than southwest.com, such as a third party auction website, you are at risk of receiving a gift card that is no longer valid. Southwest Airlines is not responsible for honoring invalid gift cards.


    How do I place a large or corporate southwestgiftcard order?

    For orders that exceed a $1,000 value, please print the southwestgiftcard order form and follow the directions provided on the form.


    Can I exchange paper gift certificates, Southwest LUV Vouchers or travel vouchers for a southwestgiftcard?

    No. The southwestgiftcard is a new product with different parameters than the paper gift certificates. As a result, southwestgiftcards must be purchased by using one of the allowable forms of payment.


    Does the southwestgiftcard expire or have dormancy fees?

    No. It does not expire and does not devalue over time.


    Can I replace a lost or stolen southwestgiftcard?

    No. A southwestgiftcard cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.


    Can I load additional funds on to an existing southwestgiftcard?

    No, a southwestgiftcard is not reloadable at this time. However, additional cards may be purchased at any time.


    When can I expect my southwestgiftcard to arrive?

    You can choose to ship a southwestgiftcard via USPS (United States Postal Service) for $2.95, which typically arrives in 4-7 business days. Or, you can choose to ship via Federal Express Standard Overnight for $9.95, and, if ordered before 12 pm CST it will arrive the next business day (no Saturday delivery).


    When can I expect my e-mail southwestgiftcard to arrive?

    Please note, the southwestgiftcard recipient's e-mail could be sent up to 12 hours after the order is placed. E-mail delivery of the southwestgiftcard could be delayed by the recipient's e-mail service provider. If the recipient(s) have not received their e-mail after 12 hours, please have them check their junk or spam mail folders for an e-mail from Southwest Airlines. Purchaser will receive a confirmation e-mail immediately after purchase.


    What if I didn't receive my e-mail southwestgiftcard?

    It is possible that the e-mail could have been blocked. Please check your junk or spam mail for an e-mail from Southwest Airlines.


    What can I purchase with my southwestgiftcard?

    A southwestgiftcard can be used to purchase Passenger travel on Southwest Airlines. Sales tax, security fees, Passenger Facilities Charges, Pet Fare, Drink Coupon Books, Unaccompanied Minor service charge and oversized or excess baggage may also be paid for with a southwestgiftcard. The gift card is not valid for the purchase of Southwest Airlines Group Tickets, Southwest Airlines Vacations’ Packages, Rental Car, Hotel, Cruise, Cargo, Southwest Airlines merchandise, codeshare bookings (on codeshare partners’ web sites) or inflight purchases.


    Where can I redeem a southwestgiftcard?

    A southwestgiftcard can be redeemed at southwest.com, through Southwest Airlines at 1-800 I FLY SWA or 1-800-435-9792, or at Southwest Airlines ticket counter locations. Redeem southwestgiftcard


    Where on southwest.com can I redeem a southwestgiftcard?

    While you are making an air reservation, the southwestgiftcard number and security code must be entered when you enter your payment information under “Apply Travel Funds”. Use of southwestgiftcard is subject to Terms and Conditions. Please review prior to redemption.  Redeem southwestgiftcard


    Where are the 16-digit southwestgiftcard number and 4-digit security code located?

    On the backside of the southwestgiftcard, just above the magnetic stripe. The security code is beneath the silver scratch-off. Please scratch gently using a coin to reveal the 4-digit security code.

    Can multiple southwestgiftcards be used in conjunction with one another?

    Yes. Up to four southwestgiftcards may be combined per purchase. Based on the amount of your purchase, you may not be able to use all four southwestgiftcards. For example, if you have four southwestgiftcards worth $50 each and your total flight reservation cost $250, you may use three of your southwestgiftcards ($150) and put the remainder of the balance on your credit card ($100). The following is our policy in regards to forms of payment: Southwest Airlines accepts up to two unused Ticketless Travel tickets per passenger (are always applied first) and up to four of the following in any combination: southwestgiftcards, Southwest LUV Vouchers, Ticketless Travel Funds (left over funds not previously used), and one credit card.
