Southwest Airlines offers "E-Ticket Check-In" self-service kiosks at its Ticket Counters for Customers checking luggage. (Additional kiosks are located nearby for those not checking luggage.) After the Customer checks in for a flight using E-Ticket Check-In, a Southwest Customer Service agent processes the appropriate luggage with the tags printed out by the kiosk. A Southwest Airlines Customer starts the checkin process. In as little as 30 seconds, the Customer receives a boarding pass. Southwest hopes the self-service kiosks greatly reduce the amount of time a Customer stands in an airport line. There are several ways to access your information and begin the checkin process at a kiosk:
Note: When using the Rapid Rewards membership card or account number, the name in your reservation MUST match the name on your Rapid Rewards account and membership card in order to quickly process your reservation at the kiosk.
