1. What is the URL (web address) for wireless access to southwest.com?

mobile.southwest.com

2. What do I need to get southwest.com wireless access on my mobile device?

First, you will need a device with data access functionality and a web browser. Then, you will need to input the following URL/address: mobile.southwest.com. You will probably want to bookmark this address to make it easier to access in the future. If you need assistance on how to create bookmarks on your wireless device, please see your user manual for the device.

3. What is data access?

Data access gives you access to the Internet through your mobile device. In most cases your service provider requires a subscription in order to take advantage of these features on your device.

4. How do I know if my mobile device will support web browsing?

Please refer to the user manual for your device, contact your wireless provider, or consult the device manufacturer.

5. What southwest.com features are available via my mobile device?

Currently, Wireless Flight Checkin is one of the key features available via your mobile device. In addition, you may delete your boarding pass and cancel your checkin, obtain information on how to contact Southwest Airlines, or access Southwest’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

6. Is Flight Status Information available via my mobile device?

Flight Status Information is not available through mobile.southwest.com, however, you may go to southwest.com and subscribe to Flight Status Messaging to have updates sent to your mobile device.

7. What information will I need to check in via my mobile device?

You will need your confirmation number and the first and last name of one of the Passengers listed in the reservation.

8. How will I know which boarding group I have been assigned?

The Checkin Confirmation Screen on your mobile device will display the Boarding Group below each Customer.

9. Once I request a boarding pass and check in for my flight, how do I get a printed boarding pass to pass through security checkpoint and present to the Customer Service Representative?

Once you have checked in for your flight via your mobile device, simply proceed to the airport and go to the nearest E-Ticket Check-In kiosk to print your boarding pass. The system will recognize that you already have checked in for your flight, so you will need to request a reprint of your boarding pass. The boarding pass will reflect the boarding group that was indicated on the Checkin Confirmation screen on your mobile device. You may also get your boarding pass at the Ticket Counter, Skycap, or online at southwest.com.

10. Can Customers traveling on a multiple-passenger reservation use Wireless Checkin?

Yes, and the Wireless Checkin interface will check in all Passengers in the reservation. Unlike Online Checkin at southwest.com, there is not an option to check in one Passenger at a time. If you wish to check in a single Passenger traveling in the multiple-passenger reservation, please visit Online Checkin @ southwest.com. NOTE: if one of the Passengers traveling in a multiple-passenger reservation does not qualify for Wireless Checkin (ie. age-restricted, military, group, etc.), the other Passengers who do qualify will be able to check in. Checkin eligibility information will be provided to you via your mobile device.

11. What if one of the Passengers traveling in a multiple-passenger reservation has already checked in?

The Wireless Checkin interface will check in all Passengers who have not yet checked in, and will re-display the boarding group that was previously assigned to the Passenger(s) who has checked in.

12. Are there plans to add additional southwest.com features for wireless access?

Yes, in the future we plan to add additional features that benefit our Customers and make the travel experience on Southwest Airlines even easier. It is our goal to provide access to features that require only a few steps to complete. Some examples of things we will be looking at in the future are Flight Status Information and Rapid Rewards account access.
