We can take your group to hundreds of destinations across the country on your schedule.
If your company or school is traveling with enough people to fill an entire aircraft (143-175 passengers), or you have specific scheduling needs that cannot be met with our regularly scheduled service, then Southwest Airlines Charters could be the option for you. Customers can travel on their own schedule to any destination in the Continental US that can support a commercial 737 operation and you’ll receive the same Legendary Customer Service from Southwest Airlines Employees that you’ve become accustomed to since our operations began in 1971. Whether you’re a football team traveling to a game, corporate employees gathering for a meeting, or enjoying incentive travel, Southwest Airlines is there to handle your travel needs.
Southwest Airlines offers two types of charters, Single Entity Private and Public.
A Private Charter is a charter that is paid for by the charterer (a single entity, such as a company or school) instead of by the individual passengers.
A Public Charter is a charter that is paid for by the individual passengers. Public Charters must meet guidelines of the Department of Transportation. These guidelines can be found here: Department of Transportation Guidelines
Charters are priced per aircraft and cost varies based on scheduling needs, the amount of flying required, aircraft availability, and distance. If you compare individual per seat prices, charters are normally more expensive than our published air fares purchased separately for a regularly scheduled flight.
For example, one-way charter prices, including all current taxes and fees, start at:
Coast to Coast, one-way: $70,000 to $80,000
Northeast or Midwest city to Central or South Florida, one-way: $40,000 to $50,000
Charter payment must be received before departure by either wire transfer or check.
Our aircrafts are outfitted with the largest satellite-based WiFi system in the world, offering a robust entertainment suite including free live (and on-demand) television, movies available for streaming, and internet access for WiFi enabled devices. To get connected, simply access the WiFi hotspot onboard through your own personal electronic device. See more about Southwest's WiFi and Inflight Entertainment.
Peanuts and pretzels are always complimentary onboard our charter flights, as well as an assorted list of non-alcoholic beverages. For an additional cost, we can have your aircraft catered with a fully-stocked bar, cold sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items.
Southwest Airlines Charters can serve any airport in the continental U.S. that can handle commercial 737 operations. We can schedule the flight times to meet your schedule. All charters are flown on Southwest aircraft and crewed with our award-winning Employees.
