Airport Operations

The airport environment is one that is both fast paced and exciting! Join our dedicated Team of Frontline Employees who LUV working with Customers and each other.

  • Ramp Agents
    Warriors who work mostly outdoors loading the bags and cargo, directing our airplanes in and out of the gate, and assuring safe, ontime performance.
  • Operations Agents
    Manage weight and balance of the aircraft and oversee Passenger boarding.
  • Customer Service Agents
    Provide outstanding Customer Service to our great Customers by issuing tickets and checking bags at the Ticket Counter, by being available at the gate for assistance pre-flight, and working in the Baggage Service Office.
  • Provisioning Agents
    Ensure our planes are fully stocked for a great Customer experience.

Pilots and Flight Operations

Emerging Leader Development Program

The Emerging Leader Development Program (ELDP) is an 18-month job rotational program that seeks to train and develop excellent Leaders for Southwest Airlines. Participants are placed anywhere in the Southwest system for on-the-job training in a Leadership role, as well as Leadership training at Headquarters in Dallas, TX. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are placed in a Leadership role anywhere in the Southwest system, based on business need.
